He's A man with both a good and bad reputation though it's hard to see why he attracts so much vitriol from some quarters because on stage his band is faultless. Maybe that's it though, maybe he's

only happy when he's playing and an utter pain when he's not.

Luckily though I only get to encounter him when Shellac are on stage playing Mr nice and Mr nasty with their drums and guitars. Wrangling songs by torturing their instruments in horrible ways yet somehow managing to produce great music. As if stretching piano wire as far as it will go and still getting a tune out of it.

An absolutely excellent night out, right down to the impromptu question and answer session.
